Couldn't be the drop in approval rating, or the fact that the public in general isn't too thrilled with this plan, could it? Someone should have told the President that it would be a good idea to get the facts straight before opening his mouth. But then that's not a charlatan's way... My favorite? "And I believe the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it." Well Barry, America has indeed been the birthplace of many phenomenal things. However, the automobile is not one of them. Karl Benz (yes that Benz, of Daimler-Benz, better known to Americans as Mercedes-Benz) invented the first 'true' automobile in 1885-6.
