Yo ho Yo ho...

Well gang yesterday was likely the last boating day of the year. Boy, did we go out with a bang, and a hearty cheer of "Yarggh" over a few cans of the finest ale. Ok well maybe we sat on Lake Ontario by Ft. Niagara, had some Diet Blue, caught some rays, did some tubing and water-skiing, but damn if it wasn't a wonderful day.

-In other news, Honey and I just watched Next with Nic Cage, and Jessica Biel. Not bad, cool concept, wonderful actress;)

Detroit Muscle and playing Ship's Mast...

Ok gang, I just got done watching 1/2 of Grindhouse. The Tarantino released half entitled Death Proof. Simply put it's so much fun. The casting is brilliant, the car chases unreal, the music is top notch, and I really enjoyed the '70s homage throughout the whole thing. If you haven't seen it, watch it. In other news, Honey and I watched Disturbia tonight. Thing #1, I liked the movie a whole hell of a lot better when it I saw it the first time and it was called Rear Window. Thing #2, Shia LeBeouf pulls more unbelievable @$$ in his recent films than maybe any other young actor in Hollywood. As Chazz Michael Michaels would say, "That's Mind-Bottling"

Yay Gift cards!

Well everyone, I just got a $200 Best Buy gift card... If you know me, you know I can spend hours in a Best Buy and not be bored. So what to get, what to get?? Right now I'm leaning toward Guitar Hero III for the Wii, Mario Strikers, and maybe some DVDs. If anyone has any ideas please contribute and help me out...

wii do play...

Ok all, I while back I posted a list of my all-time fav. video games.

1.) The Legend of Zelda:The Ocarina of Time (N64)
2.) Rome: Total War (PC)
3.) 007:Goldeneye (N64)
4.) Super Mario Bros. 64 (N64)
5.) Age of Empires II (PC)
*tie*.) Star Wars: Battlefront series (PS2)
*tie*.) Star Wars: X-Wing Series (PC)
7.) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
8.) Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
9.) The Legend of Zelda (NES)
10.) Super Mario Kart (SNES, N64, GCN)

Now that I've had the experience of the wii for about a year it is definitely time to adjust that. So here goes:

1.) The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess (Wii)
2.) The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)
3.) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
4.) Rome:Total War (PC)
5.) Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Wii)
6.) 007:Goldeneye (N64)
7.) Star Wars: Battlefront Series (XBox)
8.) Age of Empires:III (PC)
9.) Super Mario 64 (N64)
10.) Super Mario Kart (All of them)

Why the changes? Well for one I just finished Metroid Prime 3:Corruption. If you don't have a wii, get one for this game alone. It is most definitely the best FPS I have ever played. Combine Goldeneye with The Legend of Zelda and this is what you get. The graphics, story, music, and sound are phenomenal, but it is the play control that makes this the definitive first-person shooter. To Alex over at B.A. Start, I hate to drag this out again, but you must play this one if you get the chance, it is beyond a doubt an artistic masterpiece!

-In other news I saw this last night:

This I predict will be huge. As we all know by now, I am a huge Marvel comics fan, and as to be expected I am excited beyond belief to see this film. As a "comic book" movie this may be the best yet. We'll have to see. It has a tall order to compete with Batman Begins and Spiderman. Though from the looks of this trailer I like Iron Man's chances.

I got soul and I'm....

Hey all out there, here's a take on Superbad. It's funny, it has some really funny parts, but as a whole movie I was a bit let down. Everyone I've talked to said it was great, some claimed it was funnier than Old School and Wedding Crashers. Ok I must state for the record, erroneous, erroneous on both accounts. I have yet to see the film that tops WC for laughs, but again that's MHO. See Superbad anyway, you'll enjoy.

Labor Day Labors...

Hey all, well what a weekend huh!?! Saturday I had a Bachelor party Golf Tournament, that of course turned into a complete $hit show. After that, I had to come home to a ND team that should not have even graced the hallowed field (I'm too disgusted to write more than that). The evening saw Honey and I attend the wedding of my dear friend, NYS Assemblyman Jack Quinn III and his beautiful bride Ms. Kendra Johnston. Congratulations!!
Sooooo Sunday saw me on the couch a lot, and then playing Cranium Pop 5. (great game btw) Yesterday Honey and I went on the boat of my good bud, Baums. We had a blast zooming about the lower river in Lewiston & Youngstown. I'm not sure at which point I thought it would be a good idea to get on an inflatable tube and be pulled behind this motorboat, but I did it nonetheless. It was...awesome!! My back, and arms disagree with that statement vehemently, but pay no mind to them, "tubing" is phenomenal. Well that's all for now, stay tuned for more news on how I need a vacation to recover from my vacation.
