Gobble Gobble...Groan

Hello all, hope your Turkey Day was a wonderful one. I had two dinners to eat (in-laws and parents') and I feel like Violet post "chewing gum disaster" in the Wonka factory. (minus the blue coloring) Holidays were good, it was great to have some time off work, wonderful to relax with Family and friends, but not so lovely to see ND fall to the despicable, loathesome Trojans of SC...again. In the end, though I had a good weekend and Honey and I have all of our Christmas decorating done. Shopping will be next.

-In other news, I had read the letter from Peter Jackson explaining why New Line cut him from directing the Hobbit film. (greedy bastards) However, Mr. Saul Zaentz, whose company will re-attain the film rights next year, has proclaimed that the film will only be made by PJ and co. That's the way it should be.

Wii hee!!

Hey kids, well I've played the Wii, and it's ah...awesome! I pick up two games for it tomorrow, and hope to have my very own system in the next few days. Wow, it's been a while since last we got together, so what's been happening? Well ND moved up in the rankings and has an outside shot at the title. I was so happy they wore the green and gold today, but so sad to see Quinn and co. leaving.

-In other news-I've seen Disney/Pixar's Cars and I thought it was quite funny, not as good as Nemo or The Incredibles, but still quite funny. I'm all better from my nasty bout with pneumonia, and it couldn't come at a better time, because now I can enjoy Turkey Day! Oh yeah and lest I forget I bought the condo that Honey and I live in. We close right after the first and I must say it's kinda great being a property owner. Now all I have to do is Jedi mind trick Honey into agreeing on that DLP widescreen I've been drooling over and hook it up to my Wii!! I love Hi-def it's beautiful, and well I think we should be able to enjoy it to its fullest...

On the Mend...

Hey kids, things are a bit better. The pneumonia is leaving the body, and I'm starting to feel a little better. So what have I done these past few days? Well it's been not altogether that much different than any other weekend. A lot of movies, some football, and relaxing. Let's see:

A History of Violence-liked it...a lot. Excellent idea, great performances all around, except for the laughably poor turn by William Hurt.

An American Haunting-Pretty scary, not terrifying, but good for a few thrills.

The Aviator-Liked it despite its length. I think it has been the best performance I've ever seen DiCaprio give.

The Forgotten-Enh... Could have been better executed.

Life Is Beautiful- Great film. A holocaust movie that took a different approach, and one that was brilliantly done.

-In other news, ND wins again amidst a sea of top ten upsets last week. The AP poll that came out today was a bit disappointing as Arkansas leapt into the #5 spot with ND claiming #6. Oh well, we'll just have to see how it all unfolds at the end.

Lest I forget, I've been playing some games while recuperating...

Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time-brilliant concept, excellent game. I loved this game, it could very well be ranked in my all-time top 25 that I am currently assembling. (should be ready by December)

The Incredible Hulk:Ultimate Destruction: A whole lotta fun, Hulk Smash!!!

OK well that's all for now, we'll talk again soon.

Hey kids, you know what's fun? Having Pneumonia! No it's not... Just started antibiotics today, so I should be fine. This won't be a long message because I'm not feeling well. Just thought I'd let you all know I'm still here, just a bit under the weather.

-Quick "In other News"

MI:3-not bad, the best in the series.
Over the Hedge: Proof in point that Pixar dominates the CPU animated film genre.

Marvel:Ultimate Alliance-still great, just keeps getting better, again I highly recommend it.

k gotta go, I'll write back when I'm feeling normal and not like my chest has been stepped on by rampaging bison.

Hey kids, well it's back. My guilty pleasure, The OC began its 4th season tonight with a great episode. It's one of few shows that I watch religiously along with Smallville, Heroes, The Sopranos, Family Guy, Entourage, and Rome. Other than those programs, I'm watching the H, Discovery, Movies, Animal Planet, and well that's about it.

-In other news, Halloween has come and gone. We carved the pumpkins, set them out with candles, roasted the seeds, and the Great Pumpkin passed us by yet again...

-I recently played Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, a game I have on pre-order for the Wii. My good friend has it for his 360 and we played on his HDTV DLP. IT was glorious to say the least. Can't wait to have a go at it myself. Well that's about all because I'm fighting a head cold and am exhausted. More later, when I'm not all hopped up on medication.
